New choral work of up to five movements by Douglas Coombes
Douglas Coombes is well known to choral practitioners and music educators in the UK and beyond. He is a prolific composer, choral clinician and conductor. He is the choral consultant for the annual BBC TV Songs of Praise School Choirs of the Year competition and has written five Masses, a Requiem, two ballets, two symphonies, numerous choral suites (using sacred and secular texts) and countless original choral pieces and arrangements, performed all around the world.
Douglas is offering to write a choral work of up to five movements for any age group or vocal combination, a cappella or accompanied. Once the work is completed and in rehearsal, he will also include a workshop on the piece, prior to the world premiere, for expenses only.
