London Conducting Weekend

Join us for our new weekend training course format - two days of practical conducting training, at Initial level including podium time for all participants.
The Initial level is designed for those who are either new to leading choirs, or have conducted for a while and want to back up their experience with training. We expect participants to be able to sing and have a basic level of sight-reading for the Initial course.
Initial training:
This fully interactive weekend will include individual podium time for all participants and will cover key topics such as:

Beat patterns in a variety of meters

How to deliver useful, effective and relevant vocal warm ups

How to teach and lead songs/rounds efficiently

The conductor as a verbal and visual communicator
Fees:
- Initial level training: £180 weekend rate for abcd members or £250 weekend rate for non-members. Day rate: £90 for abcd members or £125 for non-members.

Bursaries: we have a limited number of bursary places available for young conductors (18 - 28 year olds) and any conductor who works with young singers. Bursary places are £150 for the weekend, or £60 for the day. Contact Elisabeth Brierley for more information.
