This course is for those operating at a high level of choral conducting. Applicants should have a number of years' practical experience (including at least one current choir), and demonstrate command of a variety of musical styles, showing awareness of mistakes within the choir and correcting them, an ability to create a rapport with their choir and showing an understanding of how voices work.
The course runs over seven one-day sessions. We provide video footage from each session to participants so that they can continue their learning in between sessions.
This course can lead to the Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music examination for those students who wish to take it. This can be discussed with course tutors during the course.
Conductors who wish to apply should complete a short application form and submit a short video of themselves leading a choir. Please read our video requirements here.
