The Village Singers are now looking for their next Musical Director to start in September 2024, upon our current MD's retirement after 15 years of leadership. We are a friendly adult, un-auditioned, SATB choir based near Attleborough, currently with around 30 members, singing a wide variety of music from Bacharach to Rutter, Mercury to Schönberg, with an experienced and supportive committee.
We rehearse weekly during term time on Tuesday evenings in a modern village hall, and produce two, sometimes three, shows a year, performing in a beautiful grade-1 listed church, with the occasional drop in appearance at other events. We aim to produce a good standard of performance whilst having a lot of fun, and our new MD can look forward to having a great time whilst leading us. We've previously been led from the keyboard by our MD, but are open to embracing an accompanist as well.
