The Guildhall Singers is a small but vibrant group of experienced singers based in north west Norfolk. We are looking for an equally dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic MD to share our passion for choral music and our commitment to performing at a high musical standard in rehearsal and concerts; Beginning in September.
The MD will have an engaging, friendly and supportive approach to both the individual voice and ensemble sound with good understanding of vocal techniques, have experience in working with confident singers, enjoy a wide knowledge of musical styles and genres and be happy to work with the choir committee.
We formed in 2018 to sing a repertoire of beautiful music more suited to a small ensemble, mostly a cappella and from a broad spectrum of religious and secular music: from early, baroque and renaissance to folk, jazz and contemporary.
Based in king's Lynn and rehearsing on a Wednesday evening, this is also an opportunity to help build an established group of 14 SATB singers up to approx 20 members.
