COLLEGIUM SINGERS is an auditioned chamber choir of 24-28 able amateur singers with a reputation for high quality performances.
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic professional musician to be our new Music Director starting in January 2025.

  • You will have skills in training vocal technique and maintaining good ensemble.
  • You will have sufficient keyboard skills to assist in rehearsals and preferably be proficient on the keyboard (we do not usually use an accompanist).
  • You will be interested in exploring with the choir a variety of genres from mediaeval to the present day which may involve engaging professional instrumentalists.

Around eight weekly 2-hour rehearsals (currently Monday evenings in South Taunton) are held prior to each of our three or four annual concerts, which are held in a variety of venues in the area.
You will arrange for a suitable deputy to cover for unexpected rehearsal absence.

Remuneration: £130 per weekly rehearsal and £450 per concert day, including travel (fees negotiable for right candidate)
  • Closing date for applications: 15th July 5:00pm
