Musical Director

We are part of the national Military Wives Choirs charity, and we are currently looking for a new Musical Director to lead us as we come together to rehearse each week and perform throughout Cornwall.

We have a choir of around 40 ladies of all ages who come together every Thursday to sing. We do not audition for membership of the choir, so our new MD should be experienced at encouraging and inspiring confidence in singers at all levels. We have a varied repertoire (modern and classical) and like to be challenged. Our performance venues have been as varied as cathedrals, a chain ferry and the back of a bus, so we need a versatile MD, preferably living near Helston as we pay travel expenses to performances, but not rehearsals.

We pay Musician Union rates and have a professional accompanist.
