Organisation: Cantorion Llandeilo Singers

Cantorion Llandeilo Singers is a community choral society which was founded by Elwyn Jones as St Teilo Singers in 1989. It is a community choral society which performs two or three concerts a year, concentrating on the choral repertoire but often with a popular summer concert. The membership is about 60. There are no auditions but members enjoy singing together and want to learn. Works are usually sung in the language in which they are written. Cantorion Llandeilo Singers' wix.website gives detailed information. It is based in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire, in south-west Wales, and usually performs in St Teilo's Church which is the venue for the 'beautiful music performed by great artists in an indyllic hill-top setting' for the annual Festival of Music in July.

We are looking for an enthusiastic conductor who can relate well to this vibrant choir, and bring them to a high standard of performance to the best of their ability. It is a friendly group of singers who enjoy meeting on Monday evenings and respond well to focussed and challenging rehearsals.

Candidates will be asked to take 45-60 minutes of a rehearsal as part of the interview process.
