Tenor choral scholar

London & South East

Organisation: West London Chamber Choir

Seeking young and aspiring professional singers who wish to develop their choral singing and sight-reading in preparation for freelance choral careers, or as a means of broadening their repertoire knowledge and choral experience.

The scholarship is open to singers aged 18-35, or students in full or part time music education. Our scholarship is worth £1,000 and the successful candidate is expected to take part in about three concert performances a year and attend our weekly rehearsals on Thursday evenings during term time in Barnes, providing support and advice for other singers in their section. There will also be occasional solo opportunities. It is expected that choral scholars will also take an active role with social media for the ensemble and generally support the endeavours of the choir.

West London Chamber Choir is a registered charity and is directed by Hilary Campbell whose other roles include: Associate Director of Ex Cathedra, Assistant Choral Director of London Symphony Chorus, Musical Director of Bristol Choral Society and West London Chorus and Workshop Leader for the Royal Ballet and Opera.
