Songbyrds is a female-voice, community choir based in Northfields, West London. We rehearse weekly on a Tuesday evening during term-time and perform once or twice a term. We enjoy a very varied repertoire, including classical, pop, musical theatre etc. Some of the choir read music, and some don't. We usually sing in two or three parts. The main aims of the choir are to enjoy rehearsals, improve towards performance, and to have fun.
Due to our current MD leaving at the end of spring term, we are seeking a new Music Director to take rehearsals and conduct performances starting at the end of April 2025 in time for the summer term.
We are looking for someone with experience of running a choir, with the ability to play piano/keyboard during rehearsals. The successful candidate will have a warm and empathetic disposition, an enthusiasm for supporting people and helping them to learn and improve.
