Choral Conducting: An Intermediate Guide

Saturday 17th February, Saturday 9th March, Saturday 20th April 2024

Two one-day live training events for everyone who has either successfully completed our Initial or Emerging level of training, or those who already have experience of leading a choir regularly and are looking to develop their skills further.

Each day of Intermediate level training can be booked separately, but equally they can be booked together as follow-on training days.

17th February - Sarah Tenant-Flowers and Amy Bebbington

This fully interactive day will include individual podium time for all participants and will cover key topics such as:

9th March - Musicianship for Intermediate Conductors with Rebecca Berkley

This day of training complements the 17th February and 20th April conductor training days and provides training in the musicianship skills that allow Intermediate conductors to plan and run engaging and effective rehearsals. Further details about this event can be found here.

20th April - Sarah Tenant-Flowers and Jonathan Schranz

This can be taken as a stand alone training day, but it will also serve as an ideal follow-on from Day 1 (17th February). This fully interactive day will include individual podium time for all participants and will cover key topics such as:

abcd intends to offer a further three live training days, and a half day online event (covering score preparation), to maintain our training offering at the Intermediate level. Watch this space for further details!


Fees

£95 per day for abcd members / £135 per day for non-members
