Calling all UK youth and children's choirs - final month for applications!
WIFYS 2013 - a ground-breaking event for the UK choral scene taking place next July in Worcester. Young people from around the world will come together to sing, work and share their musical cultures under the banner of "Peace & Unity between Nations".
- 400 young singers from across Europe and beyond will come to Worcester to join with UK youth choirs in a week-long singing festival
- World première of a specially commissioned work from UK composer Bob Chilcott which will be performed at the final night Gala Concert in Worcester Cathedral on Friday 26 July 2013
- Four ateliers led by: Margrét Bóasdóttir (IS), Bob Chilcott (UK), Carlo Pavese (IT) & Sanna Valvanne (FI/US)
- Concerts given by the visiting choirs at venues in and around Worcester throughout the week
- Street Singing and impromptu performances in the city for visitors and shoppers
- The chance to make new friends for the hundreds of international young people attending the Festival
- Conducting course led by abcd
