Greens Norton Community Choir needs a Musical Director starting in September 2026, our current MD is moving  after seven very successful and enjoyable years with the choir. We are a small, friendly choir of 20-25 members. The choir is non-auditioning, open to everyone. We enjoy singing SATB in a variety of styles, including traditional, folk, jazz and musical theatre.  We meet Friday evenings from 19:30 to 21:00, during term time.

We usually perform at least four concerts locally  a year.

The person we are looking for will have:

1. The ability to explain things in different ways and motivate choir members. They will be skilled, enthusiastic, dedicated and will encourage and challenge the choir in a positive and enjoyable way.
2. The ability to select an appropriate range of music for the choir to sing.
3. Ability to provide keyboard accompaniment with the use of backing tracks as appropriate.
