Choose one of our membership options below and join online, set up a Direct Debit, or we can invoice your choir, school, church, Music Hub or other employer. Contact our membership secretary, Carol Bowns, if you’d like an invoice.
All our memberships can also be paid for by annual Direct Debit and there are monthly options for many; click on the links and we will send you the details to set up your Direct Debit online. Our Direct Debit system is through CAF Donate, so please note that your subscription will therefore appear as ‘charity donation’.
Joining online is quick and straight forward: click on ‘buy now’ to take you to our PayPal portal and either pay by card or through your PayPal account if you have one. Payment will generate an email with a link to set up your account information – if it doesn’t arrive, please check your spam folder then contact us with any query. Our membership year runs from 1 May to 30 April and subscriptions paid now will last through to 30 April 2027.

Our standard individual membership. £80 annually, £7.50 monthly by Direct Debit.
Member Plus
Our new enhanced membership option. £120 annually. £11 monthly by Direct Debit.
Explorer
Our new taster option. £36 annually. £3.50 monthly by Direct Debit.
Student
member
Membership for anyone under 25 in full-time education. £13 annually.
Young Conductor
member
Membership for anyone aged 25-28. £40 annually. £3.50 monthly by Direct Debit.
Joint
member
Standard membership for two people living or working at the same address. £120 annually, £11 monthly by Direct Debit.
Member Plus Joint
Enhanced membership for two people living or working at the same address. £180 annually, £16.50 monthly by Direct Debit.

Associate membership
Annual subscription with logo & basic listing on our website, advertising discounts, member rates and accounts for up to 5 people. £173 annually.
Corporate membership
Annual subscription with logo & listing on our website, advertising discounts, member rates and accounts for up to 8 people. £454 annually.
Discount for conductors of Making Music member choirs
Current Making Music members can claim 25% discount off the first year of individual abcd membership for their musical director, or their assistant musical director if the MD is already an abcd member. Find out more here. You can join at the special rate by getting in touch with us.

The small print
Our membership year runs from 1 May to 30 April. If you join from November onwards, the subscription is 50%. If you join during April a full subscription applies which lasts until 30 April of the following year. These rates will be applied automatically when you join online.
