Following the untimely death of our much-loved Musical Director, Jan Walker, we are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational musician to lead the choir into the next chapter of its life.

Jan made a tremendous contribution to the choir over many years, and we are looking for someone who can build on her achievements while bringing their own ideas, energy and musical direction to the Leigh Orpheus.

We are an established amateur male voice choir of about 50 members based in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex, with a strong sense of friendship and community and a real enthusiasm for singing and performing.

Rehearsals: Wednesday evenings in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex
Start date: Ideally January 2027 but open to negotiation.

Role: Permanent self-employed Musical Director
