The competition for the second Nicholas Thorpe Composition Award is now open. The winning work, for amateur choral society and children's choir with piano accompaniment, will be performed by Southwell Choral Society in their summer concert in 2013.
- The prize-winning work will be a short choral work of up to 15 minutes long
- The work must be performable by an amateur choral society and children's choir with a piano accompaniment
- The children's choir part must be in unison or easy two parts
- The composer is free to choose the text, which must fix the theme of summer
- Composers must be 25 years old or younger on 1st February 2013.
