Birmingham Music Library is having a one day sale of old stock.
As staff were still assessing old stock when the library closed to the public they didn't want customers to miss their opportunity to buy ex-library stock at bargain prices, so the library is having a "one day only" sale of thousands of CDs, printed music scores and parts, music books and LPs. Most will be used library stock.
The stock the library is discarding consists mainly of items that have been loaned out a lot and replacements purchased; items that are out of date; editions/items that don't need to be kept for historical purposes; duplicates that are no longer popular; older formats duplicating existing stock; donations duplicating existing stock.
