abcd announces its first Gold Commercial Member - OUP becomes the first organisation to sign up to abcd's new Gold Commercial membership
Oxford University Press Music Department has become the first organisation to sign up to abcd's Gold Commercial status. This new category of corporate membership was introduced in January 2018 in order to offer a small number of companies a wider range of benefits in return for significant financial support for abcd.
Throughout its 30-year history, abcd has welcomed business members from the choral and wider musical world, whose contribution has been vital in making the organisation what it is today. Their support, along with our individual members, makes us a collective voice on choral music issues. abcd offers music organisations the unique opportunity to connect with those who lead singing at all levels and who are often the key decision makers about repertoire, equipment, choir tours and much more.
OUP has been a major supporter of abcd since the Association was founded in 1986 so it is fitting that its new status will enhance and extend the benefits it receives from abcd's unique role in the UK's musical life.
Welcoming OUP to the Gold Commercial Membership, the Chair of abcd, Leslie East, said "abcd depends on its members' support, whether on an individual or corporate basis, so this major commitment by OUP is a very significant development for both organisations. This new collaboration will strengthen our ties and enhance abcd's ability to deliver its services to all members and the wider public and educational community."
OUP's Director of Music Publishing, Ben Selby, commented: "We are proud of our long-standing relationship with abcd. As one of the leading publishers of choral music, we value greatly the connection with abcd and its members".
All Corporate members are eligible to significant benefits from membership of abcd. To discuss corporate membership of abcd, please contact Leslie East OBE Telephone 020 8 363 4203 or Rachel Greaves, Telephone: 01935 389482
