- Revised guidelines released for Performing Arts

The Government's Performing Arts guidance was updated last night. We are reading it carefully and will post an update later, however it confirms that amateur choirs and groups can continue in England, as previously advised in the government's Coronavirus FAQs, despite confusion earlier in the week.

The governments general social guidelines for England were updated late last night, 22 September. We hope that the performing arts guidelines will be updated soon to reflect these and will be asking for any clarity that's needed as a result.

Not surprisingly, we're already getting queries about what the government announcement today means for amateur performance and we realise choirs will be anxious to know as soon as possible. Once the new arrangements have been published we will, as ever, be reading carefully and will endeavour to get any clarifications that are needed in conjunction with colleagues.
