Each month over the coming year, we're going to introduce you to one of our many abcd members.
Find out more about how they heard about abcd, why they joined and what they love most about being a member! This month, we're hearing from Jonathan Schranz, abcd Young Conductor member and a practitioner member of the abcd Council too.
"My name is Jonathan and I'm a conductor based in London. I'm Director of Music at St George's Cathedral, Southwark, and I also conduct the Purcell Singers. I joined abcd when I was 19 after attending one of the Young Conductor days led by Amy Bebbington. Back when I was just starting to consider a career in conducting, abcd gave me access to a network of like-minded individuals and numerous avenues to receive top-class training which prepared me for postgraduate study. Nowadays, running a variety of choirs across London, I use abcd resources and the Festival as one of my main sources of new repertoire when it comes to programming concerts, and during the pandemic it's been an excellent source of up-to-date information."

abcd membership is £75 per year of £6.50 per month. However, if you're under 28 (like Jonathan!), membership rates start at just £12 per year. Sign up to be a member here: https://www.abcd.org.uk/signup
