FREELANCE YOUTH CHOIR LEADER - JOB SPECIFICATION 

CONTRACT: Part-time, 2 hours per week (term-time only) additional hours may become available

RATE OF PAY: £42 - £65 per hour depending on experience

HOURS AND LOCATIONS: Wednesdays 4:00pm - 6:00pm - Coventry City Centre

The rate of pay includes planning and preparation. The Choir Leader is required to be present 15 minutes before and after each session. Travel expenses are paid in accordance with our policy.

START DATE: 11 September 2024

ABOUT THE ROLE: 

Armonico Consort are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic choir leader to deliver weekly singing rehearsals for our AC Academy Coventry choir. 

AC Coventry is a vibrant, inner-city community school-based choir, regularly attended by over 70 children. The chosen leader will be trained and work alongside an experienced leader and piano accompanist. They will need to plan and deliver engaging and varied sessions, using music from a wide variety of genres including classical, folk, musical theatre, pop and rock.

Due to the success of the choir, the leader will focus on working with the younger children in key stage 2 and 3. The senior choir will rehearse independently in tandem with the existing choir leader. 

The right candidate will have proven choir leading capabilities and excellent communication skills to help improve well-being and boost confidence. A pianist will be provided for all sessions.
