Parnham Voices are looking for a new MD who could take up the post from September. Parnham Voices is a thriving and friendly SATB a cappella choir, currently 18 strong, based in Beaminster, Dorset but also drawing experienced singers from a wider reach. We celebrated our 20th anniversary in 2023 and continue to enjoy sharing our love of singing by presenting concerts in churches around the area throughout the year. Our repertoire is drawn from a wide base, sacred and secular, old and new. Rehearsals are on a Monday evening from 7.15pm to 9pm in Beaminster Museum.

Our present conductor is standing down at the end of our summer season in May this year.

The successful candidate will be expected to:

• be an experienced choir conductor who will motivate and challenge us
• have high expectations in developing our vocal technique and performance
• ensure our repertoire includes different periods and styles of music
• engage well with committee, choir and audience
• be well-organised and responsive, making rehearsals lively and fun

This is a paid role.
