Our choir is approximately fifty strong, the members comprising a blend of retired and serving police officers and members of the public.  We sing four-part harmony and our repertoire includes folk songs, pop classics, spirituals and songs from musical theatre.  We perform concerts regularly throughout the Bristol and North Somerset area, raising money for charities.  Our rehearsals take place on Monday evenings at the Police Headquarters in Portishead.  The post requires a person with a first-class knowledge of music and ideally some previous experience of leading a choir.  Familiarity with the kind of music we sing would be an asset, as would a willingness to introduce new music to the choir.

Details of remuneration will be revealed to the applicant on enquiry.  Applicants will be invited to attend and participate in a rehearsal so that a mutual assessment may be made.
