Director of Music: The Parish Church of St Andrew, Colyton
The Parish Church of St Andrew, Colyton, is seeking to appoint a new Director of Music. St Andrew's is a vibrant liturgical church with a long-established choral tradition, seeking a gifted and imaginative Director of Music to lead us into an exciting new chapter.
We are a warm and forward-looking community where music lies at the heart of our worship and mission. With a loyal adult choir, a developing junior ministry, strong RSCM links, and active support for young musicians, we offer a flourishing foundation on which to build.
We seek a skilled organist and inspiring choir trainer who will:
- Lead and develop our adult choir and nurture a growing junior choir
- Recruit, teach and encourage singers and young musicians
- Support our organ scholarship programme and help shape future musical provision
The post is self-employed. Renumeration is £10,000 p.a (depending on experience) plus fees. Regular commitments include Friday rehearsals, the Sunday Eucharist and monthly Choral Evensong; six Sundays off per year. A full job description can be found on our website: holyford.org.
