We are a welcoming amateur choir performing a varied repertoire covering classical and sacred works. The choir was started in 1908 and includes both experienced singers and those who learn by ear. We pride ourselves on being inclusive while striving for high musical standards.

We are seeking a new Musical Director, ideally from September 2026, who can take the choir forward. We are looking for someone who can maintain and develop the choir’s musical standards and work confidently with mixed-ability singers. It is important to the choir that their leader is encouraging; blending humour with firmness and matching ambition with ability. A negotiable renumeration package is offered structured around fees for each rehearsal and concert.
