Putney Choral Society is a non-auditioned choir of mixed ages and abilities that tackles a range of choral works by both modern and classic composers.  We put on several concerts a year, accompanied by professional soloists and orchestra under the direction of our esteemed musical director Jamie Powe (jamiepowe.com).

The bursary is designed for an aspiring professional singer who wishes to develop their ensemble singing and sight-reading as well as to broaden their knowledge of choral repertoire. The selected individual will take an active role both in rehearsals and concerts.  The bursary is open to singers aged 18-25 who are in full or part time music education or otherwise training for a career in music.  A stipend of £1,200 will be paid in monthly instalments across the nine-month period September to May.
