Symphony Orchestra and Chorus
Seeking a Chorus Master from January 2027, the Haslemere Musical Society (HMS), founded in 1923, is one of the few British amateur musical societies to comprise both an orchestra and a chorus.
The Chorus Master trains the SATB chorus of c.40 voices (non-auditioned) in preparation for concerts. There are c.30 rehearsals a season held on Monday evenings in the Haslemere Hall GU27 2AS.
HMS performs three joint choral/orchestral concerts a year, in December, March and May and conducted by Dr James Ross, Music Director, with conducting support from the Chorus Master.

The closing date for applications is 10 October 2026. Short-listed applicants will be invited to attend a rehearsal with the chorus prior to a decision being made.
