Director of Music

Maidenhead Choral Society, a non-auditioned SATB choir of around 30 members, is looking for a Director of Music from January 2027. We seek an enthusiastic, motivated director who can help us attract more members and, through the music we sing, a larger audience. We rehearse on Mondays from 7:30 to 9:30 pm during term time in Maidenhead with two concerts locally each year.

The successful applicant will demonstrate wide knowledge of the choral repertoire, and the ability to motivate and inspire a mixed ability choir with a wide age range to perform to the best of its abilities.  They will work with the committee to plan programmes within budget for 2 - 3 years in advance, and assist in engaging professional soloists.

The role is on a self-employed basis, with a probationary period and remuneration subject to negotiation. Further details on the Society's website.
