Lyneham Military Wives Choir is looking for a dynamic and versatile new musical director to support our choir journey.

Main duties and responsibilities

• Conduct events per year as required, lead weekly evening rehearsals; attend planning meetings with the choir’s committee
• In collaboration with the committee, to devise a termly music program.
• Ensure rehearsals are varied and engaging and work with the choir and Military Wives Choirs Music & Performance Manager to facilitate professional and choir development.

Qualifications and experience

• Ability to work with singers with a range of experience, confidence and expertise in a positive, supportive and empowering manner
• Experience of conducting a similar choir or considerable and recognised training and qualifications

Desirable personal attributes

• A supportive and empathetic with a ability to understand the unique challenges of military life
• A sense of humour, and the capacity to socialise with the Choir
