Diocese of Leeds Music is seeking an exceptional leader of children’s voices for a part-time (up to 3.5 days per week) maternity cover Choral Director to deliver whole-class singing sessions in primary schools across Leeds. There is also an opportunity to work with the Junior Choirs and Scholars at Leeds Cathedral for the right candidate.

Our Schools Singing Programme – recognised by a prestigious Royal Philharmonic Society award – works with over 6,500 children each week in schools across West and North Yorkshire. The 18 after-school choirs provide outstanding choral opportunities for young people, including BBC broadcasts, tours and recordings, with high-quality organ, piano and classical accordion tuition available for choristers and school pupils across the Diocese.

Competitive salary of £10,500–£18,435 per annum, dependent on hours

Part-time, term-time only role for nine calendar months from 1 September
