The Institute of Education offers education and accredited teaching qualifications at foundation, undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral levels. We offer PGCE and QTS courses for students wishing to train as early years, primary and secondary and post-compulsory teachers. We offer a music specialism on the BA Primary Education (QTS) programme, which includes the chance to work with Universal Voices, our free community choir for children aged 7-11. Our research and scholarship focuses on Arts and Creativity Education, Cognitive development across the whole life span; Early Years and working with families; Inclusive Education and Special Educational Needs; Language Education; Leadership and Management in Education; Mentoring and Coaching; Social Justice in Education and Teacher education and expertise.
