We are currently seeking a new Director of Music to lead the musical support for our worship services. The appointee will play the organ and piano at Sunday morning services, supporting and rehearsing with our small worship band on two Sundays a month. They will also lead evening choir rehearsals with our small choir one night a week on three weeks each month. The Director of Music will be expected to play for specific special services around four times a year (for example at Christmas and Easter services which fall on a different day each week). The working hours are estimated to be an average of 17.5 hours per calendar month.

Applicants should be accomplished musicians who are comfortable with playing a large organ and a piano as an accompaniment for singers. They should also have some experience of taking the lead and supporting rehearsals with small groups of musicians or singers, giving guidance as required, to ensure the group are prepared for supporting the hymns during Sunday services.

This is a remunerated position including five weeks paid leave per year. The salary will be discussed at interview.
