We are urgently seeking a new enthusiastic Music Director from September, following the sad death of our MD earlier this year.

The Castle Choir based in Berkhamsted, Hertfordshire is a well established SATB chamber choir rehearsing on Wednesday evenings from 8 to 9.30pm during term-time. Although non-auditioned, most of our members read music, and rehearsal material is available for practice at home or on the move. We like to work in a lively, fun and engaging rehearsal environment to produce 2-3 concerts per year.

The MD would have primary responsibility for the choice of repertoire and would need to accompany as well as direct the choir at weekly rehearsals.

There is a strong and supportive committee to run the choir, with whom the MD would need to liaise on a regular basis.

Remuneration for the role is £90 per weekly rehearsal; £130 for concert performances.
