Headington Singers is seeking a new Musical Director from September 2025 to take over from our current Director who is retiring in July 2025.

Headington Singers is a non-auditioning, community choir, based in Oxford.  Rehearsals are held on Tuesday school term-time evenings. 

Concerts are given at the end of each school term. Our repertoire is mainly the choral classics. Accompaniment for concerts varies from full orchestra to piano or organ.

The successful applicant will need to be an experienced conductor capable of achieving high standards while working with a mixed ability choir. They will need to work effectively with our accompanist and have a good knowledge of vocal technique. Orchestral experience is essential and knowledge of potentially available soloists and instrumentalists would be an advantage.

Remuneration to be agreed in consultation with the successful applicant.
