The Ripieno Choir are delighted to announce the launch of a new Choral Scholarship scheme for the 2025-26 season, in memory of choir member Peter Lawson, and his intense love of choral music.

The scholarship is designed to support a young (aged 18-30) tenor, baritone or bass singer who aspires to be a professional musician. The scheme is open to anyone who enjoys choral singing, particularly those who are either studying music or starting out in a musical career. The singer will join The Ripieno Choir for a year (involving attending rehearsals on a Sunday evening in Thames Ditton, and performing in four termly concerts), for which they will receive a stipend of £1,200. Some paid solo performance opportunities may also be available, in line with our typical programmes. The choral scholar will be an active member of the choir, engaging with and supporting other singers in your part.
