Salisbury Chamber Chorus is seeking a new Musical Director to begin in January 2027.

The Chorus is forty-strong and caters to trained voices in opera, musical theatre and choral traditions, many to grade 8 and above. It enjoys a varied repertoire - with operatic leanings - which has ranged from Vivaldi, Bach, and Mozart to Wagner, Puccini, Poulenc and ABBA.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of vocal technique and a broad taste in vocal repertoire.  They will have a demonstrable skill in encouraging largely amateur singers to aspire to a near-professional quality performance, have a clear vision for our future and ideas about attracting the best amateur singers from across the region.

The closing date is 30 June. Shortlisted candidates will  be asked to join us for an audition with the choir and an interview in early autumn.
